Rabbit Air company info
Rabbit Air was founded in 2004 and is based in Los Angeles. Inc Magazine ranked Rabbit Air as one of the fastest growing companies in the US from 2009 to 2018.
The company currently has two air purifier products on the market, the Minusa2 priced at around $550 and the Biogs 2.0 costing around $350.
The Minusa2 is a unique take on the traditional air purifier as it features customisable covers which can help to turn the purifier into a wall mounted piece of artwork.
Limited editions of the Minusa2 are available aimed towards younger customers featuring characters like Hello Kitty and Peanuts and Snoopy.
Rabbit Air markets their purifiers as ultra-quiet and both models feature thorough multi stage air purification processes.
Wall Street Journal – “Ditch the institutional look and breathe easy and cute.”
Minusa2 air purification process
The Minusa2 passes air through a six stage process which involves a pre-filter to catch larger particles and a medium filter designed to reduce airborne particles and also a customizable filtration stage.
1 Pre-filter –
The pre-filter stage is designed to trap and reduce large sized allergens like dust and airborne particles.
2 Medium filter –
Next is the medium filter which works to trap and reduce airborne particles larger than 1 micron in size, such as pollen, mold, and pet dander.
3 Biogs HEPA filter –
Then the true HEPA filter traps and reduces common allergens, mold spores, bacteria & viruses which get caught on the filter.
4 Customized filter –
The customized filter stage is a unique step which makes the Minusa2 stand out from most air purifiers. Users can choose from a variety of customized filters including Germ Defense, Pet Allergy, Odor Remover, or Toxin Absorber. Each filter is specially engineered to trap and reduce different types of germs, chemicals, odors and allergens.
5 Activated carbon charcoal filter –
Then air is passed through an activated carbon charcoal filter which is made up of high-grade granular activated carbon and works to tackle chemical and common household odors.
6 Negative Ions –
A final negative ion filter which emits negative ions designed to latch onto airborne particles. This allows the particles to get trapped more easily by your air purifier’s filters, or to settle onto the floor where they can be picked up by your vacuum instead of accidentally inhaled.
New York – “Rabbit Air’s BioGS 2.0 is the Mercedes of purifiers.”
Biogs 2.0 air purification process
The Biogs 2.0 features a less intensive 4 stage air purification process similar to the above with the exception of the customized and medium filter stages.
Rabbit Air purifier features

Today’s Parent – “Impressed with the Rabbit Air’s range of features, effectiveness, sleek design and the child safety feature.”
Rabbit Air purifier pricing
Rabbit Air products are more expensive than other brands, but offer advanced multi-stage air purification processes, a wide range of useful features. Also the design of the purifiers is futuristic and innovative which somewhat justifies the higher costs.
Rabbit Air top product
Although Rabbit Air only have two air purifier products on the market, choosing a top product is still a tricky task as both are incredibly compelling products.
The Biogs 2.0 purifier is better suited to smaller spaces like bedrooms, nurseries and small offices. The purifier has an intensive 4 stage filtration process and it powerful enough to filter and change the air in rooms up to two times an hour in rooms up to 550 sq. ft. when running on the highest setting.
The Biogs 2.0 features award winning product design, an ultra quiet motor. The unit itself is light (16.8lbs), durable, energy efficient and boasts neat features like a child proof front panel which turns off the purifier automatically if it is removed.
So all around the Biogs 2.0 is a good choice for a wide range of uses and circumstances.
However we think the Minusa2 just beats out the Biogs 2.0 due to the following benefits:
- 6 stage filtration process
- Customized filters (Germ Defense, Toxin Absorber, Pet Allergy, Odor Remover)
- Wall mounted or standing options
- Ultra quiet due to brushless direct current motors
- Wifi and app enabled – control from the app
- Customizable covers
- Limited Edition options (featuring Hello Kitty and Charlie Brown, Peanuts)
- Room coverage up to 815 sq. ft
- 5 year warranty
- Long lasting filters
- Low energy consumption
The main appeal of the Minusa2 over the Biogs 2.0 and other brands purifiers is it’s, flexibility in terms of both look due to customisable cover and it’s adaptable wall mounting or stand alone ability.
The Minusa2 has an extensive range of features and is suitable for most needs!
